In Spring of 2013, PCI members registered to run in the Bluenose Marathon races in Halifax, Nova Scotia. One of the PCI members decide to join Team to Train, a group of runners competing in the Bluenose Marathon who fundraise for cancer non-profit organizations. This member wanted to honour a close friend battling cancer.

Inspired by this event, the PCI team launched Power to Hope - a non-profit Organization dedicated to fundraising for Young Adult Cancer Canada (YACC) in Newfoundland and Labrador.  Power to Hope is a team of people encouraging healthy, active living while raising funds that will be contributed to a cancer-related cause.

HOPE is powerful – When you believe that good things will come, hope inspires. It is an unwavering belief that brings light and life to those around you.
